This Cancellation Policy applies to all cancellation scenarios – no exceptions. Please read this carefully before booking a Journey.

 

Please Note

In the event of a cancellation, Transformative Journeys cannot compensate participants for airfare, hotel, and/or travel costs incurred.

For additional protection, all participants are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance with a "cancel for any reason" provision.

 
 

Cancellations by Participant

 

Cancellation Rules

The Journey start date is the first day of the scheduled Journey. The original Journey booking date is the date that the original Journey was initially booked.

If you cancel within 30 days of the Journey start date:

  • All payments made will be forfeited and no refunds will be given.

If you cancel 30–90 days before the Journey start date:

  • We will credit all payments made, less any nonrefundable deposits, credit-card processing fees, and/or cancellation fees*, as applicable.

  • This credit may be applied to a future Journey of the same kind (subject to availability); this credited Journey must take place at least 1 month (but not more than 12 months) after the canceled Journey’s start date.

  • This credit is not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund (except as required by law).

If you cancel more than 14 days after the original Journey booking date AND at least 90 days before the Journey start date:

  • We will refund all payments made, less any nonrefundable deposits, credit-card processing fees, and/or cancellation fees*, as applicable.

If you cancel within 14 days of the original Journey booking date AND at least 90 days before the Journey start date:

  • We will refund all payments made in full.

 

* Cancellation Fees

The cancellation fee is the amount equal to the nonrefundable deposit for that Journey.

 

PARTICIPANT DELAYS AND OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

No refunds or discounts will be provided for late arrivals, early departures, flight cancellations, travel delays, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.

For additional protection due to unforeseen circumstances, it is highly recommended that all participants purchase travel insurance at the time of booking the Journey.

 
 

Cancellations by Transformative Journeys

Transformative Journeys reserves the right to refuse or cancel any participant's registration for any reason. If this is the case, we will provide a full refund, unless otherwise restricted below.

LOW REGISTRATION

In the rare event that we have to cancel a Journey due to a low number of participant registrations, participants will be given the option to:

  • Credit all payments toward a future Journey of the same kind.

    OR

  • Receive a full refund.

unforeseen circumstances

In the rare event that we have to cancel a Journey due to dangerous weather, political unrest, acts of God, and other force majeure events:

  • Any participant refunds will be contingent upon Transformative Journeys’ receiving a refund from the venue or other event providers, as applicable.

ATTENDEE Nonpayment

If a participant fails to remit payment on or before the payment due date:

  • We have the right to cancel the participant's registration for that Journey.

  • No refunds will be provided.

 

Journey Changes

Transformative Journeys reserves the right to make any changes or modifications deemed necessary by its team, leaders, guides, teachers, and/or business partners.

About Travel Insurance

Travel insurance can protect participants against a number of unforeseen circumstances.

Depending on your policy terms, travel insurance can cover things like:

  • Cancellations by participant

  • Cancellations by Transformative Journeys

  • Lost or delayed baggage

  • Medical expenses

  • Costs of repatriation should the participant become ill or injured

For additional protection, all participants are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance with a “cancel for any reason” provision.
